Everton Under 18s beat Manchester City 1-0 yesterday at Goodison Park to lift the Barclays U18 Premier League trophy.

Harry Charsley scored the decisive goal of the game in the second half with Russel Griffiths remaining heroic at the other end to deny a number of City chances.

Joe Williams was the architect of the goal. He initially set up Michael Donohue, who’s shot was parried away by the goalkeeper, into the path of Williams again, who unselfishly set up Charsley to fire home.

Charsley had the opportunity to later double the lead but his shot went agonizingly wide.
