Dom Solanke lifts the trophy after his late brace won Chelsea the FA Youth Cup.

Chelsea’s Dom Solanke scored a dramatic late brace to seal his side victory in theĀ FA Youth Cup last night.

Fulham took a 3-2 lead into the second leg tie at Stamford Bridge but Chelsea won 5-3 on the night to win the trophy they conceded on home soil last year against Norwich.

Moussa Dembele scored an early goal for the Cottagers when he headed home from Dean O’Halloran’s cross.

Two quickfire strikes from Charlie Colkett and Jordan Houghton put Chelsea in front. Colkett converted a penalty after Charley Musonda was brought down in the box and Houghton scored a stunning strike from just outside the area.

Emerson Hyndman played in Patrick Roberts to net Fulham’s equaliser – arguably goal of the night.

Soloman Sambou put Fulham in 3-2 up at half-time and with a two-goal aggregate lead it looked as if Fulham would go on to win the tie.

However, Isak Ssewankambo fired Chelsea level with 13 minutes left and Solanke netted a brace to win the trophy.

A terrific glancing header from Colkett’s cross put them level on aggregate and the winner came with just seconds remaining when he rifled home from inside the box.

This year’s FA Youth Cup final second leg was a memorable tie. On a night when Mark Selby beat Ronnie O’Sullivan at the Crucible and Liverpool squandered a three-goal lead to draw against Crystal Palace, it seems the FA Youth Cup was still a major talking point and grabbed the attention of even the most novice football lovers.

Watch below as Ade Viveash reflects on last night’s win.
