Barclays U18 Premier League: Man City’s Winning Streak Halted By Bolton

Manchester City’s 13-match winning streak came to an abrupt end yesterday morning as they were thrashed 5-2 by Bolton Wanderers.

Kean Bryan, Thierry Ambrose, Brandon Barker and Jorge Intima all featured for City in a side that couldn’t have been much stronger.

Tom Walker and Jamie Thomas put the Trotters 2-0 up before half-time and Elliot Newby fired them 3-0 ahead just after the break.

But City looked to have launched a comeback and possibly got themselves back in the game when Barker and Ambrose struck within two minutes of each other to reduce the deficit to just one goal.

Walker and Thomas both netted their second goals of the game to put the hosts 5-2 up by the final whistle and revive their otherwise disappointing season in true fashion.
